Rangers transfer news: £2m update emerges on Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring.

Rangers are considering a £2 million deal for Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring, and Philippe Clement is considering it, according to Portsmouth News.

On January 17, the news outlet said that the Gers were prepared to pay a fee in the millions of pounds to get the English defender to Ibrox.

He has appeared in almost 95 games for Bristol so far, scoring two goals for the EFL Championship team.

Worth a punt?

The club may be holding off on making a transfer since Ridvan Yilmaz is set to leave in January and they are unable to find a suitable replacement.

Although he has started the last two warm-up games, Clement has shown no inclination to make a decision regarding his future.

It’s unclear if the 25-year-old Pring will contemplate moving north of the border, but he does appear to be an intriguing replacement.

Being an attacking full-back, he might provide Borna Barisic with more competition than Yilmaz did during his two seasons at Ibrox.

Given that it has been a problem for the team and that Barisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, Clement will want that.

He doesn’t appear to be any closer to signing a contract extension at Ibrox at this time, and it will be interesting to watch if he decides to commit to the Rangers in the upcoming months.

In other Rangers news, there has been an update on the £4.8 million proposal as progress is made in the team’s attempt to sign a player in January.
