The English top division has several teams interested in the Nigerian forward, with west London

powerhouses Chelsea being the team most frequently connected to him.

The Blues were reportedly considering Osimhen, with a summer transfer being more likely than a

January one, according to a previous report from Mail Sport.

Now, talks of Osimhen potentially heading to England have arisen again after the forward himself

admitted the he aspires to play in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports about his situation at Napoli, the forward said, ‘I am happy with the president

(Aurelio De Laurentiis). I have a good relationship with him. I cannot lie.

He has been with me since I signed for the club in 2020. I have a good relationship with his family also

and for me it is always important to make sure we have this good relationship, to make sure there is

nothing wrong regardless of what has happened.

‘So for me, ADL has been the kind of president who has been supportive to me outside the pitch and of

course, I make sure I give my all and try to win the Scudetto for them.

“To be happy with the club’s owner is always important to me in a relationship of this kind.”

Osimhen responded, “Of course one day, definitely, but for now, I have other plans in my career that I

am looking forward to,” when asked if he would like to play in the Premier League in the future.

Everyone will so be aware when the time arrives.

The £112 million striker has been Chelsea’s and Arsenal’s long-term ambition, but he has pledged his

future to Napoli, the Serie A winners in 2022–2023.

The 24-year-old’s contract with the Italian champions was initially set to expire in 2025, but according to

Sky Sports in Italy, it has been extended. A release clause is reportedly in the range of €120–130 million

(£104–£113 million).

After joining Napoli in 2020, the Nigerian international has made 96 appearances for the team, leading

them to the Italian Serie A title.

Osimhen’s services have also been connected to Manchester United, various high-rolling Saudi Pro

League clubs, and other Premier League teams.
