Philippe Clement reveals Rangers injury blow as star ruled out for ‘a long time’
Kieran Dowell will undoubtedly be sidelined for an extended period of
time following an unusual training ground injury sustained in Spain, according to Philippe Clement.
Dowell, 26, had to wait patiently for his opportunity at Rangers after
leaving Norwich City in the summer, but he made an impression on
Clement’s squad last month by scoring in the team’s 2-0 victory over Motherwell. The playmaker, though, has
suffered a severe injury that occurred during the team’s mid-season training camp in La Manga. Additionally,
manager Clement stated that Dowell won’t be returning anytime soon in remarks made prior to tonight’s friendly
against FC Copenhagen.
“Kieran was really unlucky that he stuck in the grass on a bad pitch in La Manga,” he said to Rangers TV. Thus, he
will typically be absent for a considerable amount of time. We must conduct a thorough evaluation of that. But one
thing is certain—he won’t be returning in the upcoming few weeks.
