Ivan Toney says he will remain at Brentford and that Chelsea will not make a bid for Viktor Gyökeres.
Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford, has stated that he will stay with the team despite rumors of a trade
involving Chelsea and Arsenal. After serving an eight-month ban for gambling offenses, Toney, who
scored 20 goals in 33 games the previous season, reassured supporters of his dedication in a video
posted on Brentford’s official YouTube page.
Toney was apparently the main target of Chelsea and Arsenal for the January transfer window. Toney,
however, made it apparent that he has no plans to depart this month during his recent chat with former
captain Pontus Jansson on Brentford’s YouTube page.
Jansson: “It’s great that Thomas [Frank] announced that Ivan would be staying.”
Toney: “Yes, I will be staying, I promise. In addition, Everything will work out well. Man, I can’t wait
return.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Toney also conveyed his appreciation for Brentford’s help throughout
his suspension and his desire to repay the team for believing in him.
“The entire club has benefited much from Thomas Frank, who has been nothing short of extraordinary.
from scheduling extra sessions for me, to taking time out of their schedules to put on a session and walk
outdoors in the rain when they shouldn’t be.
“I’m eager to try to repay them because I have a lot to do.”

According to reports, Toney is valued at over £100 million by Brentford, and he has a contract with the
team through 2025. This assessment, his resolve to stay put, and Chelsea’s reluctance to make major
player acquisitions this winter all work against any transfer happening anytime soon.
