Cowboys Players Go To Press To Say Mike McCarthy Is ‘Stubborn’ And Dak Prescott ‘Panicked’
It’s only been a couple of days since the Dallas Cowboys’ seismic defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers and the backstabbing has already begun.
A new report from Jane Slater of NFL.com has quotes from anonymous Cowboys players claiming that head coach Mike McCarthy and his staff were
“stubborn” and that quarterback Dak Prescott “panicked.”
“On both sides of the ball, a player’s persistence in adhering to plans irritated another player.
According to an unnamed player who spoke to Slater via Sports Illustrated, “motion offenses are killing defenses and there’s concern that
Dak panics when the first read is not there.”
Questions about both McCarthy and Prescott will continue for as long as the pair is in Dallas as yet another year of regular-season success has been
followed up by a massive failure in the playoffs.
The Cowboys were not only defeated by a club they were favored to defeat by seven points in their own home, but they also lost in the Wild Card
round. Despite adding additional comfort points during garbage time, the Cowboys ultimately fell by a score of 48-32 after trailing by 27 and 32
points at different stages during the game.
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones hasn’t let any of the coaching staff go as of this writing.
