McCarthy will make a comeback in 2024, Jones told reporters, “we’ll see how each game goes,” just prior to the start of the playoffs.
This does not seem well for McCarthy’s future with the team if Jones was actually evaluating McCarthy’s work performance on a game-by-game basis. McCarthy is sixty years old.
It’s possible that Jones gave McCarthy reassurance that his job was secure during the regular season when the Cowboys were performing well.
If Jones decided to change his mind after Dallas was humiliated 48-32 by the Packers at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, it wouldn’t exactly be stunning.
