Like the New Orleans Saints, some are calling for the Los Angeles Rams to be sent back home. Saints
supporters won’t feel sorry for the Rams, though.
In Matthew Stafford’s much-discussed return to the Motor City, the Los Angeles Rams narrowly lost to
their former quarterback, Jared Goff, and the Detroit Lions. Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (who had a
GAME) was involved in a somewhat contentious no-call that raised some eyebrows. Nevertheless, none
of them support the New Orleans Saints, as Saints supporters get to give them what Rams supporters
have been giving them since the 2018 campaign.
With Rams supporters, it’s kind of comical. It’s difficult to determine how many of them are genuinely
from Cleveland (yep, that’s where the franchise originated; do your research) or St. Louis. Sports teams
in the City of Angels frequently experience this, but with the internet age, you never know who is saying
what or where.
The main point is that when many flags may have been called on a crucial third down late in the game
due to an incomplete Stafford ball intended for Nacua, Rams fans were NOT thrilled.
As one might expect, the responses are exquisite, and that holds true for any tweet that includes this
video. In the 2018 NFC Championship, the Rams were able to escape punishment for what amounts to
borderline homicide. The play has been covered so extensively that it isn’t even worth going into the
details of it. In essence, it might have prevented the Saints from going to Super Bowl LIII.
Now that the tables have turned, Saints supporters can finally voice what Rams supporters have been
trying to express to them for the past five years. “Get over it.” A gun in the rabbit’s hand is not pleasant.
Funny thing is, compared to the play against the Saints, this one wasn’t nearly as obvious.
