Montgomery, a Celtic sensation, signs a loan with Motherwell.

Adam Montgomery has committed to Mother well on a season-long loan.

“Adam Montgomery has joined Mother well on loan from Celtic until the end of the season,” a statement

verified.

“For the first part of the season, the 21-year-old, who has previously played in 67 games, was on loan at

Fleetwood Town.

Montgomery was a forward at first, but he eventually found himself in defense, where he has flourished.

In 2019, he signed his first professional deal with Celtic, and in May 2021, he made his debut for the

squad. Montgomery went on to play 20 games for his parent club and spent time on loan at St Johnstone

and Aberdeen, two strong Premiership teams.

“He played 33 games last season with St Johnstone, scoring one goal and assisting on four occasions in

the process.”

“With the limited number of players we currently have available, it’s important we bring the right players

to the club who we think can make an impact,” Stuart Kettlewell stated.

“Although Adam is still a relatively young football player still in the early stages of his career, his 67 first-

team appearances at such a young age demonstrate his experience and solid understanding of the game.

“I’m happy we could get him to the club, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Montgomery went on, “I’m happy to be here.

“I’m excited to get going and show the fans what I can do. It’s been really good meeting all the boys so far

and feel it’s a great environment to be playing football.”
