Sunday’s 48-32 loss for the Dallas Cowboys at home against the Green Bay Packers was nothing short of stunning. And for Jerry Jones, it was extremely painful.

Jones spoke with the media after his Cowboys got hammered by the Packers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The longtime Cowboys owner admitted he hadn’t fully had a chance to comprehend everything. But he said the loss was the “most painful because we all had such great expectations and hope for this team.”

Numerous rumors have suggested that Jones may believe McCarthy has taken the club to its limit and that the team needs a new head coach. The availability of Bill Belichick might be alluring to the team.

That Dallas team, though, had high expectations for a reason. Following previous postseason setbacks, many believed the Cowboys could be poised to turn things around after Dak Prescott had a stellar regular season and reduced his number of interceptions. Rather, they collapsed and took a beating.
