ACL.

On Sunday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 48–32 at AT&T Stadium.

Sadly for the Packers’ defense, it looks like one of their EDGE rushers sustained a major knee injury.

Referring to Enagbare by his nickname, LaFleur remarked, “My heart hurts right now for J.J.” “It

doesn’t appear promising for him. Therefore, whenever you have a guy go out like that, it’s kind of

bittersweet. Dealing with him in the locker room is difficult, and many of the players are really hurting

for him.

One EDGE rusher:

Enagbare played in 41% of defensive snaps as a reserve EDGE rusher. During the regular season, he

recorded 37 tackles, eight for a loss, six quarterback hits, two sacks, one forced fumble, one pass

interception, and 11 pressures. Against Dallas, he recorded one tackle and six quarterback hits.

Lukas Van Ness is the first backup pass rusher whose role will grow. Van Ness was selected by Green Bay

in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 13th overall. Van Ness has appeared in every game and has 32

tackles, eight for a loss, ten quarterback hits, four sacks, one pass deflection, and 12 pressures during the

regular season, and had three tackles, one for a loss, one quarterback hit, and one sack against Dallas.

Second EDGE rusher:

Brenton Cox is the other backup pass rusher whose role is probably going to grow. Cox was signed by

Green Bay as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Cox was a competitor for the team’s final outside linebacker position. Following a good preseason and

training camp, Cox was added to the 53-man roster.

Cox did not play against Dallas and has been a healthy scratch in 13 of the last 17 games.
