Vitaliy Mykolenko covered in blood after sickening clash of heads with Everton teammate

Bloodied Vitaliy Mykolenko following a graphic head contact with an Everton teammate.

Following a collision with James Tarkowski, an Everton teammate, during the match against Aston Villa, Vitaliy Mykolenko was left with a bleeding head.

At Goodison Park, the Toffees defenders got into an ugly coming together during the second half.

Mykolenko had to be treated following a violent collision.

Mykolenko was not at all hurt, but both players were left laying on the field and had to be attended to by medical personnel.

Blood was visible on the right side of the Ukrainian’s head and over the top of his left eye.

Mykolenko could stand again, but Everton were reduced to 10 men for the time being as he remained to receive treatment.

After a while, he returned to the field and was wearing a bandage around his head, a la Terry Butcher versus Sweden in 1989.

After an incident in the second half that left him bleeding as well, Tarkowski fell down hurt for the second time during the game.
