Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers: Madden simulation predicts Dallas win in Wild Card Round.
Sundays are a whole other story. The Dallas Cowboys have faced many trying times this season, and we wanted to see them take full advantage of the opportunities that have presented themselves. In the end, they were successful in certain situations and unsuccessful in others. But if they lose this week against the Green Bay Packers, there won’t be another chance.
When playoff time arrives, the safety net disappears and there is no longer any room for error. The Cowboys will undoubtedly need to play their best football, even though they won’t have to be flawless.
Most people seem to agree that Dallas will take care of business against the Green Bay Packers, but in the postseason tournament anything can happen. We have all lost a lot of sleep as a result of Cowboys teams that “should” have done various things.
How does the computer see this matchup unfolding? They are an impartial person we can ask/command to tell us. In an effort to understand things through as impartial of a lens as possible we ran a simulation in Madden 24 and the Cowboys won rather easily 23-3.

Dak Prescott may have only thrown one touchdown, but it was a very good one, according to the stats. Brandin Cooks was hit by Dak for a 52-yard touchdown pass, during which Cooks managed to go through traffic and break a few tackles to into the end zone.
Ideally Sunday’s result would be just like this. A dull match in which Dallas dominated the entire time, resulting in minimal tension from all of us. Dreaming is acceptable.
While this exercise can be fun it is not necessarily representative of exactly what is going to happen so you can probably let go of that idea. Madden is below .500 this season when predicting Cowboys games, hopefully this week it evens things up.
