about the Ibrox transfer approach.

According to Abola, the Ibrox club is reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old defender, who is

being pursued by Marseille and Benfica, while Alvaro Fernandez, a promising defender for Manchester

United, is nearing a loan agreement with Benfica.

Francisco, who took to X to say that Ibrox would be the “perfect fit” for the defender in the event of a

move for the five-time Czech international, believes that there aren’t many teams better than Rangers for

Jurasek.

“The Rangers were probably the best option for Jurásek out of all of them,” he stated on Sunday,

January 14, via X.

“There would be room, other players would join a dominant squad, and the game would be more direct

and rough. In the end, he would feel well at home there.

An additional choice

Jurasek is another option at left-back for Philippe Clement and Rangers, as the Sunday Mail reports that

Jurasek appears to have lost out on the chance to sign Josh Doig to Marseille for a £5 million move.

The 23-year-old, who left Slavia Prague to sign with Benfica in July 2023, has only made 12 appearances

overall and has missed numerous games because of injuries.

The best of Jurasek is still to come for Benfica. The fans might never get to see Fernandez’s finest side,

though, as Rangers try to lure him away from the team after just four months in Portugal due to his

possible deal with Man United.

Even if Jurasek doesn’t play much for his team, his talent is undeniable. The full-back, who has five caps

at the international level, was essential to Czechia’s success in their Euro qualifying campaign.

Despite his considerable experience, he is not well-known. Out of his 12 games, three have been in the

Champions League, where he has excelled both at home and away against Real Sociedad.

The Rangers left-back position is still up for grabs, therefore Clement ought to take a chance on Jurasek.

In other Rangers news, it’s said that the team is amenable to another player leaving as several teams vie

to finalize a trade.
