Phil McNulty thinks Everton will stay in the Premier League this season even after losing 10 points for going over budget.

The journalist said that although the Toffees are “labouring” as a result of their points reduction, the deduction has served as a “unifying force” for the team in an article on the BBC Sport website.

He emphasized that he still believes that the 17th-place Blues would remain in the standings even if they are docked 12 points, as Sean Dyche tries to keep his team out of trouble once more.

Despite their ongoing appeal, Everton is currently suffering from a 10-point Premier League point deduction for violating financial regulations, according to McNulty.

“It has acted as a unifying force and a run of four straight Premier League wins wiped out that deficit and took them out of the relegation places.

“There has been a slip recently but Sean Dyche is doing a fine job. Nevertheless, the impact of Abdoulaye Doucoure’s injury shows how fragile his team still is.

“Even if Everton lost 12 points, I said they would still be in the league. That is what I stand by.
