In the summer of 2024, the 29-year-old’s contract with Tottenham expires. This season, England international Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Spurs, was having trouble getting the player some playing time.

This season, Dier played in three Premier League games as a substitute for Spurs, with one start. At Bayern, the England international will be reunited with Harry Kane, who left Tottenham for the German club in the summer of 2023.
