Ex-Rangers boss Michael Beale reveals No9 Sunderland transfer search

Former Rangers manager Michael Beale discloses the ninth Sunderland transfer hunt.

Michael Beale has been candid about his January transfer window hunt for a new striker at Sunderland.

In an effort to maintain his campaign for promotion in the English Championship, the former Rangers manager is aiming to bolster his striking lineup this month.

While Beale was at Ibrox, he faced criticism for his hiring practices. However, he says that at his new club, players are only brought in if they are “the right fit”.

He declared, “We’re searching. Every No. 9 that is currently alive is being linked to us, but we’re still waiting on the ideal No. 9 to join the team. It needs to be within our means, and the player needs to show up and be very eager to assist us.

“There are one or two other positions we’re looking at as well.

In general, it’s a challenging month. Several teams appear to be packing up in our immediate vicinity. Some teams have already done work. Not that we’re not working hard in the background, though. Indeed, we are. However, there is nothing to disclose at this time.”

Dennis Cirkin, a defender for Sunderland, underwent successful surgery to repair his left hamstring.

Following Sunderland’s goalless draw with Swansea in November, the 21-year-old has not played in any of the last 11 games due to a recurring hamstring injury that has restricted his playing time this season.

Cirkin has begun a rehabilitation program, according to the Sky Bet Championship team, and he will likely miss the next three months of competition.

The left-back, who has not yet played for the new Beale coaching staff, will sit out games along with fellow defender Niall Huggins, who just had surgery.
