‘It’s been real;’ Saints TE Jimmy Graham posts farewell to New Orleans
WVUE (NEW ORLEANS) – Jimmy Graham, a tight end for the Saints, looks to be leaving New Orleans after a year.
On Wednesday, January 10, The Pro-Bowler shared a picture from an airplane’s cockpit along with the caption, “It’s been real NO. I appreciate all of your love.
The fan favorite, Graham, who stated he “didn’t want to play anywhere else,” was finally back at home with his one-year, $1.31 million contract. For 39 yards, he caught six of the seven passes sent his way, most of which were in the end zone. In 13 games, the 36-year-old participated.
In mid-August, he was arrested after authorities found him wandering in the street during a “medical episode” in southern California. He missed the team’s game against the Los Angeles Charges and returned to practice the following Tuesday.
Graham also offered some of the loudest support of back-up quarterback Jameis Winston and the offensive players who decided to run Jamaal Williams into the endzone for a late-game touchdown against rival Atlanta Falcons in the team’s final game of the year.
