Good business’ – Pundit View: Rangers to get rid of player who cannot handle Ibrox ‘Pressure’

Ferguson reacts to Rangers transfer news with new Sam Lammers update at Ibrox

According to Derek Ferguson, Rangers may make some “good business” by moving Sam Lammers during the January transfer window since he

couldn’t manage the strain at Ibrox.

Six months after joining from Atalanta, the Dutchman may be finalizing his departure to FC Utrecht soon, as reported by Tutto Mercato Web on

January 10.

With just two goals in 31 games in all competitions, Lammers, 26, has been perhaps the weakest of the nine summer acquisitions made during a

disastrous recruitment campaign by former manager Michael Beale.

Speaking to Ibrox News, former Rangers player Ferguson believes that everyone concerned should sever relations because the move hasn’t been successful.

“He’s had a lot of difficulties, Lammers. You have some sympathy for the boy,” he remarked.

“He appears to be a very technical, orderly, and tidy player, but I don’t think the young player is able to handle the pressure of playing for the Rangers.”

“I believe it would be wise for us to release him on loan so he could play football someplace else.

It’s obvious that Lammers won’t get it; sometimes, for whatever reason, it doesn’t exactly happen at particular clubs. If he were to simply go play

football somewhere else, I believe it would be a wise option overall since there are other men getting back into shape.
