Aston Villa move for Zaha and approach Lazio winger.

Football Transfers has discovered that Aston Villa is actively seeking to sign a winger during the January transfer window, with Wilfried Zaha the most recent player being pursued.

We are aware that Villa has lately made moves for two players: Galatasaray winger Zaha and Lazio Wideman Felipe Anderson. After making an initial attempt to recruit Zaha for Arsenal back in 2018, while he was in charge at the Emirates Stadium, Unai Emery has grown to be a tremendous fan of the player.

Speaking on the possibility of signing Zaha four years ago, Emery revealed his admiration for the Palace man. “I usually want to sign first the players I know there,” said Emery. “When we played against Crystal Palace, Zaha showed he was a very good player.”

This month, getting a deal for Zaha will be challenging. The 31-year-old just moved on a free transfer from Crystal Palace to Galatasaray last summer. It’s believed that Zaha is content in Turkey and isn’t planning on leaving this month.

Given that Villa is currently second in the Premier League, they have the potential to at least cause Zaha to reconsider his future, but it will be difficult to pull off the transaction.

Zaha has scored seven goals in 14 league games during his stellar debut season at Galatasaray. In the Champions League, he also scored against Manchester United, his old team.

Felipe Anderson at Lazio

Felipe Anderson, 30, has a contract with Lazio that expires at the end of the current campaign. Since it now appears doubtful that he will extend his contract in Rome, Lazio may accept a reasonable offer to sell this month. At the end of the season, Felipe Anderson could be available for a free transfer to Juventus, though.

Felipe Anderson, in contrast to Zaha, has had a difficult season, managing just one goal in all competitions. However, he has generated six assists.
