Everton forward ‘seduced’ by idea of January transfer – Potential deal ‘progressing behind the scenes’.

Arnaut Danjuma, who is on loan at Everton, is’seduced’ by the prospect of joining Olympique Lyon this month. Foot Mercato claims that after agreements for Lucas Perri and Adryelson of Botafogo were finalized, talks for more reinforcements are currently in progress.

They want at least one winger and Everton’s Arnaut Danjuma is one of the names on their list. They ‘really like’ the Dutchman, who is currently on loan at Goodison Park from Villarreal. The French side want a loan deal with a purchase option valued at no more than €15m but if such a deal can’t be secured, they’ll instead just ask for a six-month loan deal.

Danjuma is “seduced” by the thought of making the shift, thus things are “progressing behind the scenes” while they work on the issue. He views it as a fantastic chance to sign with a team that can give him a starting position so he can contribute to Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands team and earn some points before Euro 2024.

They wouldn’t necessarily have the upper hand, though, as Everton would need to consent to breaking the loan first. They are in charge for the time being, and before he could travel to Lyon, an arrangement with Villarreal would need to be made.

Despite this, the French team is making a strong push, helped by the player’s recent conversion and enthusiasm for the transition this month.
