Club now working to take Beale signing away from Rangers amid Ibrox struggles

Club now working to take Beale signing away from Rangers amid Ibrox struggles.

Rangers’ summer acquisition Sam Lammers might already be moving, as FC Utrecht, a Dutch team, is currently attempting to sign him until January.

Rangers may now be regretting their summertime decision to support Michael Beale, which involved spending a lot of money on his carefully chosen targets.

Three new attackers joined the Gers at Ibrox: Danilo, Sam Lammers, and Cyriel Dessers.

The less said about Lammers, the better, Dessers has yet to make a significant impression, and Danilo is hurt after blowing hot and cold.

Beale was sacked just two months into the new season and Rangers are now left with his misfits under Philippe Clement.

Rangers forward Sam Lammers could now join Utrecht

Rangers had to pay roughly £3.5 million for Lammers as the Dutchman tried to restart his career.

Lammers struggled with Atalanta after first succeeding in the Netherlands. He subsequently had three challenging loan stints with Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli, and Sampdoria.

Rangers moved quickly in the hopes that Lammers would return to his peak performance, but so far that hasn’t happened.

The 26-year-old, who is primarily used as a number 10, has only managed two goals and two assists in 31 appearances for the Rangers.

Fans have been left hugely disappointed and his reduced role of rate – one start in Rangers’ last nine league games – could lead to a departure.

According to Jeroen Kapteijns of The Telegraaf, Utrecht, an Eredivisie team, is reportedly attempting to finalize Lammers’ contract.

After signing Fabio Silva, it’s been reported that Rangers are willing to let Lammers go on loan, with Utrecht currently negotiating a deal.

Utrecht is now just three points clear of a relegation playoff slot in the Eredivisie standings, sitting in 13th place.

It is possible that Lammers was brought in with the intention of helping Utrecht overcome their relegation anxieties, and few Rangers supporters would have been saddened by his departure.
