5 New Orleans Saints players who won’t be back in 2024

The New Orleans Saints’ season came to an odd conclusion. The Saints destroyed a division opponent, defeating the

Atlanta Falcons 48-17, with the postseason on the line.

Depending on what actually transpires with head coach Dennis Allen, among other important names, the way the game

concluded may actually define the season and future plans for New Orleans.

However, one thing is certain: New Orleans faces a difficult journey ahead.

With a projected cap space of negative $76 million for the offseason, the Saints are bottom in the NFL according to Over The Cap.

There won’t be as much action during free agency as supporters would like. Indeed, they’ll probably bid farewell to at least these five of them.

Jimmy Graham, TE

To everyone’s surprise, Jimmy Graham played football for one more season after sitting out the previous year.

It was definitely fitting to see him play his last season in the NFL with the Saints, assuming he doesn’t play elsewhere in 2024.

However, Graham appears to be close to finishing his career in the league at 37. He’s not even close to the guy he used to be.

Indeed, that began to emerge even during his time in Green Bay and Chicago. It is now assumed that he will retire, therefore the Saints should bid him farewell.

The Saints are in need of a true playmaker at the tight end position. Although Juwan Johnson has performed well in the red zone, this club needs a

player who can generate yardage after the catch and pose a danger in the open field. Priority should be given to locating one of those in the draft.
