Saints announces 2 roster moves on Friday
On Friday afternoon, the New Orleans Saints declared that linebacker Nelphi Sewell has been placed on injured reserve and defensive end Payton Turner has been activated from injured reserve.
Turner suffered a toe injury in the 2023 season opener against the Tennessee Titans that landed him on injured reserve. Turner was selected by the Saints in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Houston. He has played in 13 games, making 29 tackles
(20 solo), three sacks and one blocked field goal.
Sewell suffered an ACL injury last week against the Buccaneers, that will require surgery.
