Dominic Calvert-Lewin gamble mooted in big-money January transfer update at Everton.
In January, Bryan King brought up the possibility of selling Dominic Calvert-Lewin, an Everton player, as rumors about new attackers persisted.
Lawrence Shankland, the captain of Hearts, is the most recent of them; HITC reported on January 3 that the Toffees have been closely monitoring the Scotland international.
The former Everton scout acknowledged that, at the moment, everything at Goodison Park is a gamble, with the possibility to sell Calvert-Lewin and earn a significant amount.
“Well, would you get rid of Calvert-Lewin?” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“He could command a high fee in any case, but are you willing to part with your best striker in order to bring in a player from Scotland?”
“I believe that everything at Everton is a gamble right now because there are so many changes, both in the stadium and in the high-ranking players.”
Despite injuries once again playing a role, Shankland has scored eighteen goals this season in all competitions—domestic and European—while the England international has only four.
Calvert-Lewin’s FA Cup red card against Crystal Palace, which he later appealed to the FA, is currently making headlines.
