REPORT: New Orleans Saints Make Massive Decision on Dennis Allen’s 2024 Future

The New Orleans Saints, who have been battling for a postseason berth, find themselves on the outside looking in for Week 17. Dennis Allen, the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, has been under fire, but it appears that the team’s higher ups are on the same page, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Saints will probably keep Allen on as head coach for the upcoming campaign.

In order to maintain their chances of making the playoffs, the Saints must defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17, since a victory would tie them for the lead in the NFC South. Dennis Allen’s 22-45 record may not seem impressive, but it does appear somewhat better because he has a 14-18 record since joining the New Orleans Saints as their coach.

With a 7-8 record and a dominant 17-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road at halftime of their Week 17 match, the New Orleans Saints have proven to be a respectable club. They are trailing the Atlanta Falcons, whom they will play in Week 18, and are now ranked third in the division.

It appears likely that the Saints will win the division if they can win the remaining two games. Dennis Allen, the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, may not be the best, but his team has a ton of talented players that can produce big plays on both sides of the ball. The Saints would be in a terrific position with a home playoff game if they can win the NFC South. However, as the fifth seed in the NFC Playoffs, they would play either the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles.
