The Dallas Cowboys Have A Glaring Hole On Offense
Here Is The Most Evident Hole For The Dallas Cowboys On Their Offense Ahead Of The NFL Playoffs And How It Can Induce A Wound
The Dallas Cowboys are still dealing with the same problems, and things like this will regrettably keep coming back to haunt them come playoff time. Every year, Cowboys supporters notice that this trend becomes more and more predictable. Contrary to popular belief, Dallas does have Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and other important players who can help them reach their goals.
The only problem is what they will be able to do if the offensive slows down every day due to the severity of the injuries that happen so often. Like an awful dream that is just waiting to happen to jolt you out of it. Dallas just can’t seem to grasp this lesson, and it’s 2022 all over again.
The glaring hole on the Cowboys’ offense? The offensive line. It’s beginning to look like it will eventually crack and there’s nothing they can unfortunately. The Cowboys activated a new offensive tackle to their roster recently to cover up the wound.
To say the least, Dallas has not learned its lesson and it will continue to bite them in the end.

The Cowboys’ Offensive Line Is Continuing to Have Negative Ripple Effects
Here we go once more. Cowboys supporters, the offensive appears to have a bright future, but the team is gradually deteriorating. That is no longer the case, which is frustrating for a squad that was hoping for a deep postseason run. While Dallas took care of most of the problems this past NFL Draft, they neglected to improve their offensive line.
This is most likely the reason Tony Pollard hasn’t been very productive this season and Prescott hasn’t had a lot of time in the pocket. The obvious solution is the offensive line, and important guys like Lamb are suffering as a result. The coaching staff and front office wouldn’t want this to turn into another problem, would they?
Unfortunately, Dallas didn’t see the issue once they drafted Mazi Smith this past draft. They thought they could be solid with having Tyron Smith (once again) and Terence Steele recovering from his catastrophic knee injury. Dallas thought wrong and should’ve put the pedal to the metal by getting a veteran to complement the offensive line.
The offensive line is what makes this team run, so any star player who goes down will negatively impact the team.
It Only Got Worse After the Line Took Another Hit
The Cowboys are clearly underwater with all these issues at the line, but close your eyes, it’s only getting worse. Chuma Edoga is added to the injury report after being the replacement and backup for Smith. So now with these two being out with injuries, the team needed to go back to the drawing to grab one of their practice squad players. No matter if they come back from their injury, the way they play won’t be the same.
It’s concerning for the left tackle position where they would want to avoid talented edge-rushers coming in and using it as an advantage. However, it might be much of a concern since they could use an additional tight end like Jake Ferguson on the field to block. The Cowboys do have that option, but mostly they should be utilized only for some plays and not for most of the game.
Either way, Dallas seriously needs to address these issues during the offseason no matter the outcome of what happens.
Expectations for the Dallas Cowboys Offensive Line
The line will eventually break, but if the offense changes their playbook, they could be okay with it. Dallas has the speed in Lamb and Brandin Cooks, so they could get creative with their plays and make quick passes. Since they have their security blanket in Ferguson, it wouldn’t be an issue. When the playoffs start, when everyone is playing for the marbles, that’s something to be wary about.
Even with their starting offensive line in action, Dallas could run into trouble if they play a contender with a potent defense. Smith and Edoga will still fight the damage they heal from if they are in top condition. With the Cowboys, you never know. The main factor preventing this team from emerging as a formidable contender is injuries.
