‘I Went Absent!’ CeeDee Reacts to ‘Weird’ Disappearance

CeeDee Lamb was a standout receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, but he erred in his expression of dissatisfaction earlier this season when the team was unable to use him in what ended up being a loss against San Francisco.

In the second and third quarters of a 22-20 loss to the Dolphins on Christmas Eve in Miami, Lamb showed signs of maturing, but he remained composed when talking about the matter in the locker room after the game.

“Started off the game hot,” Lamb added, having amassed almost 100 yards on the first two plays, including a 49-yard touchdown catch-and-run. “I disappeared. It was strange for that reason.

“They weren’t doing anything,” Lamb said when asked if the fact that he wasn’t productive at all in quarters two and three was the result of a shift in the Dolphins defense. “It was weird, that second and third quarter.

Extremely peculiar.” Lamb was ultimately targeted ten times, resulting in six receptions for 118 yards and one touchdown. However, he went four Dallas possessions without being attacked throughout that middle portion of the game.

Lamb expressed his opinion on that without expressing any resentment or hatred. “I feel like keep me involved if I’m going to be involved,” he stated.

Lamb continued, “We have to be explosive, adhere to the script, and be secure in who we are if we want to be the team we want to be. Maybe “sticking to the script” means, for him, not giving up the ball for four consecutive possessions without throwing to him.
