Cowboys’ Micah Parsons blasts officials following second consecutive loss
Micah Parsons, an edge rusher with the Dallas Cowboys, has a grudge against the refs.
The Dallas star has gone 38 quarters without drawing a foul, according to the team website.
In the wake of Sunday’s 22–20 loss
to the Miami Dolphins (11-4), Parsons angrily criticized the officials.
The things that are called for and the roles we are assigned are astounding,” Parsons remarked.
“We simply need to learn how to overcome hardship and recognize that most of it is bunk.
It’s the world we live in, but it’s football plays. The helmet has the star on it.”
One of the NFL’s most effective pass-rushers is Parsons. He is fourth in the league in sacks (39.5)
since joining in 2021, trailing only Nick Bosa of San Francisco, Myles Garrett of Cleveland, and T.J. Watt of Pittsburgh.
Also, he has been selected for two first teams All-Pros.
He is difficult to stop, which may be the reason he isn’t receiving any penalties. In any case, it lessens the 24-year-old’s influence. He has four solo tackles and 1.5 sacks in his last three games. The Cowboys (10-5) are currently 15th in the league after losing two of their last three games and surrendering 22 points per game.
Dallas needs Parsons to step it up before the start of the postseason. The Cowboys have already secured a postseason spot but
are second in the NFC East behind the Eagles (10-4). If they win their next two games and Philadelphia loses one, they could
clinch the division and host a wild-card game. To solve the problem, Dallas should consider having Parsons line up at
linebacker more frequently. Parsons has been used on the D-line more, so teams are double-teaming him.
According to ESPN, he’s double-teamed on the highest rate in the NFL.
