Saints X Account offers perfect reaction to NFL forgetting infamous no-call

It was a bad call.

Okay, so the call was awful. Whatever side you were pulling for, there was one thing that everyone could agree on. Furthermore, it still hurts a lot.

The New Orleans Saints lost the NFC Championship Game in January 2019 due to one of the worst calls in NFL history. In a tie game against the Rams at 20, quarterback Drew Brees found Tommylee Lewis with a pass with 1:49 remaining in the game.

defensive back Lewis was completely outclassed by Nickell Robey-Coleman, and no calls were made on the hit.

But when the NFL Twitter/X account posted the highlights of that game on Tuesday with the two teams ready to battle it out this week on Thursday Night Football, the infamous no-call was nowhere to be seen.

One of the most memorable NFC Championship games in recent memory was brought up by the Saints-Rams game. I’m curious as to what will transpire when these two meet this week for TNF.

The NFL’s footage ignored the criticism, so the Saints quote tweeted it along with a popular Kurt Angle meme. The NFL apparently didn’t want to admit their most significant officiating error because the league has been under fire this season for a number of referee rulings.

It still bothers some people. And with good reason.

Naturally, overtime was played in the end, and the Rams prevailed 26–23.

The Saints supporters are undoubtedly still upset over the non-call, which will go down in sports history as one of the worst missed calls ever. They will take longer to forget it than the NFL did.
