Simon Jordan slams ‘fool’ Michael Beale live on air after Rangers comments

After hearing Michael Beale’s most recent remarks regarding his tenure as Rangers manager, Simon Jordan criticized the Englishman in real time on television, telling him to “shut up.”

After a dismal start to the season in which Rangers lost the first Old Firm derby of the year, fell far behind Celtic in the title chase, and were unable to qualify for the Champions League, the previous manager of the Gers left Ibrox in October.

Since then, Beale has been named manager of Sunderland. He has blamed his dismal season start on the changes at Rangers, a move that has not gone over well with Jordan, who has called Beale a “fool.”

Speaking on talkSPORT (19 December, 10:28) he said: “Oh shut up. Shut up and get on with your job. It’s about your failings, it’s not about change. Those that can overcome, can overcome, if a job is bleeding easy everybody would be doing it.

“The reason you got the Rangers job is because you were perceived to be capable. Rangers was a big job, it was a big opportunity, you made a fool of yourself up there, you weren’t very good at it and another guy has gone up there and look what he’s doing with the place.”

Beale is correct to suggest that there was a lot of change around him during his time at Ibrox, but the idea that he is not at all to blame for the Light Blues’ shortcomings during his time in charge is completely ridiculous and out of order.

As Jordan suggested, the job that Clement has done since arriving in Glasgow is a demonstration that the tools are in place at Ibrox to build an incredibly successful and capable side, but the Englishman was just unable to get a tune out of them during his tenure.

The job of a Rangers player is renowned for being difficult; as Jordan once stated, if it were simple, everyone would be doing it. Beale paid the price for his inability to succeed in Scotland for whatever reason. He shares some of the fault, whether he wants it or not.

Fortunately for followers of the German team, they can look forward to a better future under Clement and are no longer forced to put up with his foolishness or excuses during news conferences. It’s safe to say that so far this season, the Light Blues have improved in the dugout.
