NFC South odds update: See who’s now favored out of Buccaneers, Saints

The Bucs are now division favorites with the Saints a close second

The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently deadlocked for first place in the

NFC South, making a new favorite apparent once again.

Following the loss and slip to third place for the formerly favored Atlanta Falcons, the Saints

and Bucs are now tied for the division lead. The Bucs are currently the NFC South favorite according

to the oddsmakers at Caesars Sportsbook.

With just three games left in the regular season, the Bucs, who were the longest shot to win the division

before the season, are now the favorites for the first time at -160.

The Saints aren’t far behind though at +185, and the top two NFC South contenders are set to face off on

New Year’s Eve in Week 17, with the Bucs currently owning the tiebreaker after beating the Saints back in Week 4.

The Falcons are now a long shot at +800, and their odds have plummeted after two- straight

losses, and they’re switching quarterbacks yet again going from Desmond Ridder back to Taylor Heinicke.

This is the second time this season that Ridder has been benched for Heinicke, whereas the

Bucs and Saints appear to have stable quarterback situations with Baker Mayfield and Derek Carr.

Mayfield and Carr having started every game this season, and they both delivered arguably their

best performances of the season in Week 15 to lead their teams to wins that got their records back to .500 at 7-7.

With the Saints as 4-point underdogs against the Los Angeles Rams on the road and the

Bucs as 1-point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, this upcoming Week 16 might be

difficult for both the Saints and the Bucs.

The Falcons are presently 1-point home favorites against the Indianapolis Colts, who have won

five of their last six games, and may reenter the race if the Saints and Bucs lose.

The Saints are around even money to make the playoffs at -105, the Falcons are still alive at +550, and the

Bucs now have the best chances of any NFC South team at -250.
