Aston Villa is reportedly investigating RB Salzburg prodigy Oscar Gloukh ahead of the January transfer window, according to sources who spoke with Football Insider.

According to a trustworthy source who spoke with Football Insider, Villa believes the Israel international has “top potential.”
If the Midlands giants can convince the teenager to leave Salzburg in the middle of the season, they believe he would be a perfect fit for Unai Emery’s ambitions.
Gloukh inked a contract earlier this year that will keep him at the Austrian powerhouses until June 2027.
He has now played 41 games for Salzburg, netting eight goals and dishing out seven assists, two of which came in the Champions League.
The 19-year-old, who has two feet, prefers to play as an offensive midfielder but can also play as a winger or deeper midfielder.
In November 2022, he made his senior international debut for Israel. Since then, he has earned 12 caps and three goals.
After an amazing start to the 2023–24 season, Aston Villa is currently ranked third in the Premier League with 16 games played.
When they play again on Sunday, December 17, Emery’s team will trail Liverpool, the league leaders, by just two points.
