Aston Villa plotting January move for playmaker with 11 goal contributions this season

According to reports, Oscar Gloukh, a midfielder for RB Salzburg, is a target for Aston Villa.

The West Midlands club is reportedly monitoring the 19-year-old midfielder, who is highly regarded throughout Europe, according to a Football Insider report.

The player would bring goals and inventiveness to the Aston Villa midfield if he joined the team. He currently has six goals and five assists in all competitions this season.

When the January transfer window opens, it will be intriguing to see if the Premier League team chooses to pursue him.

This season, Aston Villa has excelled in the Premier League, currently sitting third in the standings. In order to maintain their present form, they will need to strengthen that squad during the January transfer window if they are to challenge for UEFA Champions League qualification.

Gloukh is a versatile midfielder who can play both centrally and as the attacking centre. He’ll bring technical skills, creativity, and flare to the side. For players such as Ollie Watkins, his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates will be quite helpful.

The Aston Villa striker is in outstanding form this season and someone like Gloukh could help him score more goals.

It remains to be seen whether the Austrian outfit are prepared to cash in on the player next month. He has a contract with them until the summer of 2027 and they could easily demand a premium for the 19-year-old.
