Michigan football is the only Power-5 programme without a departing transfer portal.
Michigan football is looking to make some additions from the transfer portal, but the Wolverines are the only Power-5 program not to lose any at this point.
The Michigan football team is trying to add players through the transfer site, but as of right now, they are the only Power-5 programme without any losses.
College football’s transfer webpage has undergone significant modification. Not all has been negative, though; the Michigan football team this season made significant use of the gateway.
The Wolverines want to accomplish it once more. It’s already anticipated that Western Kentucky defensive back Upton Stout will make an appearance this weekend.
Detroit native Dante Moore, a former five-star quarterback, has also been linked to Michigan football. Another name associated with the Wolverines is Walter Nolen.
It remains to be seen if Michigan can land any of those players, but one positive for the Wolverines so far is they are the only power-5 program without losing a player to the transfer portal yet.
I’m sure there wil be some departures. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t, but Ohio State has already had 15 players enter the transfer portal including starting quarterback Kyle McCord.
Perhaps it’s because Ohio State wants to make improvements. However, it’s unclear how that will turn out. It doesn’t seem realistic that Michigan will reach anything close to that figure.
Right now, the transfer portal is available for 30 days. In the spring, it is also open for 15 days. Several players from Texas and Alabama have accessed the transfer portal. There has only been one in Washington.
In this day and age, it is impressive that some other programmes are in the single digits. It’s a reflection of the Michigan football culture, and ideally, there won’t be many departures—though a lot of it will depend on Jim Harbaugh.
