Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Juventus talent Samuel Iling-Junior in recent weeks.
Recently it was reported by The Independent that Spurs are eager to have the 20-year-old back in the Premier League.
According to X, Daniele Longo, a journalist with Calciomercato, Tottenham “will make an attempt” to recruit Iling-Junior in January.
In another piece on their website, Calciomercato asserted
that Spurs pose a “danger” to Juventus in their pursuit of their player.
‘Samuel Iling-Junior and a future that’s yet to be written,’ they wrote.
The 2003-born English midfielder could bid farewell to Juve as early as January to accept Tottenham’s approach.’
Iling-Junior has struggled for game time this term. He has made just
appearances in all competitions and has just 113 minutes of football under his belt.
Samuel Iling-Junior signing a no-brainer for Tottenham – TBR View
All in all, it looks like a no-brainer for Tottenham, who are without
Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic for the foreseeable future due to injury.
Iling-Junior is just 20 years old, incredibly talented with a high ceiling, versatile and has English football experience.
In addition, he seems keen on a return to the Premier League, his contract’s
up in 2025, his club appears open to selling, and Spurs could end up paying less than £20million.
Meanwhile, Tottenham really need to bring in reinforcements, and
given it’s tricky to sign really top players in January, Iling-Junior would
really fit the bill as a player whose career could be revived by Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou at N17.
