‘Massive’ West Brom Injury News Excites Conor Townsend Before…

West Brom

The “massive” injury update from West Brom has delighted Conor

Townsend ahead of the Baggies’ Championship comeback matchup with Ipswich.

Despite Carlos Corberan’s small roster, Albion has had a fantastic

start to the season and is presently sixth in the playoff rankings.

But with some key players returning to fitness, the Spaniard should benefit.

Josh Maja, Daryl Dike, and Adam Reach’s fitness has been

updated by Baggies defender Townsend, who acknowledged

that the team has occasionally been “threadbare.” All three players may be able to play against Ipswich.

He stated, “No (it’s not a bad one to be in) – and we’ve had a lot

of injuries as well,” as reported by the Express & Star on November 16.

There was a time when the team was worn out.

“We still need Swifty, Josh Maja, Daryl Dike, and Reachy to return.

They should be almost fit for Ipswich or the following week.

Their return is really important to us because it strengthens the team.

We have faith in the manager and his intentions for us, as well

as in what we have in the dressing room. This season, we’ve seen

a lot of positive things, things to work on, we’re comfortable with

where we are, and hopefully, we can make another run.

Considering Corberan’s limited resources at The Hawthorns and

his team’s severe injury problems, it’s amazing that West Brom has

managed to remain as competitive as they have this season.

losing Maja and Dike, two of their most effective strikers, to the

Baggies, who are now down to just Brandon Thomas-Asante as a

legitimate striker and top scorer Swift, who has been among the

best in the Championship, much alone the Albion team.

When the Tractor Boys play again, they will be level on points with

league leaders Leicester City, thus Corberan will be hoping to use

all three of his players. Ipswich will be a tough test for West Brom.

Fans will be hoping that once they regain fitness, those three players

stay injury-free because with them fit and productive, Albion transforms

from a team trying to make the playoffs to a real challenger for promotion.

Having those players will be a major advantage for both players and

supporters as there are still plenty of games to be played and points to be earned.
