Chantilly volleyball Won First Game in Regionals.
Chantilly’s volleyball team defeated Washington-Lee in the main round of the territorial competition on October 31, winning 3-1.
After defeating South Lakes 3-1 in the first round of area play, Chantilly Varsity volleyball fell to James Madison 3-1 in the region finals on Oct. 26. According to Lead Trainer Daniel Molina, the strategy worked against South Lakes but not against the Warhawks.
“I accept we followed the main game’s arrangement and played lights out.” “We did what we were supposed to do, and after that we started the next set, I couldn’t say whether we went somewhat delicate reasoning that we had it,” the coach stated. “Madison deserves credit; they worked extremely hard to improve changes and serve.”
Molina stated that the team heavily relies on their Concorde Area Player of the Year, Mimi Mambu, who plays as an outside hitter and has 193 kills to far.According to him, time was a factor in the game versus the Warhawks. After their game against the Seahawks, the Chargers had only one day to prepare for James Madison.
Regardless, the coach expressed how thrilled he is not just with his opponents for receiving fair accolades for their success on the court, but also for returning the group to districts this year. Other notable competitors besides Mambu include Golden Chee, Frida Sagastume, Nola Murphy, Gabby Nelson, and Caycee Chhum.

“I’m extremely pleased with what we’ve accomplished this year and how we’ve secured ourselves this season.” “I’m very happy for the young ladies, and everyone has contributed,” Molina added. “Obviously, Mambu is the genius at the moment, but everyone has been giving me what I ask for.” Despite the fact that we did not win the district, I am certain that we can advance in districts and even states.”
Molina was selected Concorde Area Mentor of the Year after leading the team to a (13-2) record in his second season with the program. He is from Puerto Rico and attributes his success to his friends, who encouraged him to start playing and teaching back home and locally.
He truly has the daunting task of rushing to states after Chantilly fell 3-1 to Alexandria City in the state semi-finals last season. They did, however, get locality and district support that same year.
“Our outside hitter got a kidney infection before that game, and we didn’t have a replacement for her.” “I just used one of my back-column cautious trained professionals, and she did everything,” he explained.

Mambu, the group’s genius, had her own tour and expressed her gratitude for being named Player of the Year.
“It feels a lot better, and I’m really happy for myself, but I also feel like I couldn’t play that role without my group and, most importantly, my mentor.”
“She began in secondary school and I thought it was fun on the grounds that a many individuals would come to her games like everybody was cheering and there was such an excess of energy that I concluded that I needed to play that game,” stated Mambu.She is now the focus of attention, with her family and colleagues rallying for her. She stated that her enthusiasm and how happy the game makes her feel gets her stimulated to compete on a daily basis.
“I’m appreciative to my sisters and mom for helping me around evening time when there were troublesome volleyball circumstances.” “They reliably energized me and told me the best way to have an exceptional attitude,” she went on to say. “I’mMambu is getting glances and consideration from schools even though she is in her lower year. She stated that she is in talks with Power Five schools but will not reveal who.
“That is my objective, it’s to play at an undeniable level D1 and I’m happy I will have the valuable chance to do that,” she went on to say. “In the event that I really do have the chance to play master, I would take it.”
The Chargers will see if they can finish that story this year and win states.
